Daedalus 'Jezebel' Pinot Noir, Oregon 2009
Achiever
This family owned winery in the Dundee Hills of Oregon produces some steller single vineyard Pinot Noir's from the Williamette Valley. This selection from their 'everyday' brand is no exception.
You'll love to be trapped in this Labyrinth (see greek myth, Daedalus caught in the Labyrinth with his son Icarus), anyway... The flavors are nice and robust for this price point and give a cool "meaty/jerky" flavor in the middle that makes for a really quite complex wine. I think this outshines most of the blue chip Oregon Pinot stars on the market that are two and three times it's price. Another killer VALUE that over-delivers in the bottle. WOW! $22-$25.
